Recycling Materials
We are committed to recycling. Many of our products are packaged in recycled cardboard and bleach-free brown boxes. We use environmentally-friendly materials whenever possible to reduce waste. Several of our factories are also sourcing more environmentally-friendly packing materials and increasing the percentage of recyclable materials. Many products are being packaged with all 100% recyclable materials.
Clean Air Technology
The wood products we use in our bath furniture meet California Air Resource Board standards (CARB Phase II) for urea-formaldehyde emissions.
Water Conservation
Environment Canada has teamed with the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) WaterSense program to help consumers save water and reduce costs on their utility bills. Canadians can look for the WaterSense label to find products which have been independently certified by a third-party licensed body to save water without sacrificing performance or quality.
Rainforest Alliance Certification
Rainforest Alliance Certification is a comprehensive process that promotes and guarantees improvements in agriculture and forestry. The seal of approval ensures that goods and services were produced in compliance with strict guidelines protecting the environment, wildlife, workers and local communities.
Sustainable Forest Management
The PEFC Council (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization which assures that wood comes from forests that are sustainably managed.
Alliance for Water Efficiency
FGI Industries Ltd. is also a member of the Alliance for Water Efficiency, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to the efficient and sustainable use of water. They serve as a North American advocate for water efficient products and programs and provide information and assistance on water conservation efforts.
LEED
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design is a certification given to buildings that use sustainable green resources and materials. Although LEED® certifications can only be given to buildings, our toilets comply with LEED standards and can help you achieve LEED® status. For more information on LEED® check out the LEED® website.
